  2. Hi to whom this may concern, I am the founder of Amacoast.com, which is a new African American DVD retailer. I wish to offer you promotional 'amacoast.com discount vouchers' which would be of interest to your readers. I am open to discussion on the value of such vouchers and this initial email is to gauge whether this is something you find appealing? Below is a little background about myself, which could be of interest if you wanted to profile me or my business. Thank you for taking the time to read my email and I look forward to reading your response. My Story My name is Dele and I am a young (24 years of age), recent graduate and entrepreneur. In November 2009 I started the site amacoast.com. Amacoast.com is an on-line Black film retailer, which currently stocks over 2,000 DVDs. I spent two years planning the site, with a lot of that time spent putting together the database information for all the films. The website is important for several key reasons; 1. Its no secret that there is a 'lack of' and/or 'access' (both in the USA and UK) to broad representation of black images in mainstream media. I believe the diversity of black images present within these films is one way of counteracting this issue. 2. I follow a number of black film blogs and pod-casts and realise that 'new black film talent' often receive their break within a black film. In order to ensure that new male and female black actors keeping coming through its important to have distribution channels where consumers can purchase these films, that have tomorrows future black movie stars. 3. Having a 'one stop shop' place which only stocks black films, makes access to new and old black films easier. Mainstream retailers often place black films into one single category, however on the amacoast.com site they are spread across '35 categories'. 4. My faith has played an important role in the development of the site. I run the site by myself with the help of a few volunteers. There have been many setbacks over the last 2 years, however my faith has kept me going during the times I have felt like giving up. I believe I am fortunate to have found my calling in life at young age, which is to 'make a positive difference within the black community, all over the world, through the power of media'. I would really appreciate having a 'newstory/blog post/feature piece etc' (whatever you feel appropriate) about what has been mentioned above. I believe that your readers would be interested in either/both my story or the amacoast.com site. Thank you for taking the time to read this email and I look forward to reading your response.
