About Teodora Gomes (in brief)
There is much more to say about Comrade Teodora Inacia Gomes than space permits. In summary, she is a dedicated Pan-Afrikanist revolutionary; a women’s activist, a Freedom Fighter and war veteran that helped (along with Amilcar Cabral) to liberate Guinea-Bissau and Cape Verde from imperialism’s grip, while contributing to the downfall of the fascist regime in Portugal on 25 April 1974, leading to the Independence of Guinea-Bisseau, Angola, Mozambique, Sao Tome and Principe in 1975. In short, Comrade Teodora Inacia Gomes is a living untiring heroine.
